Student Services : Careers
All the Careers action
It has been terrific being on site with students as we settle into 2022. Year 10 students are busy working on securing their work experience placement and completing all the requirements. Senior students have started their Career Action Plan and many of our Year 12 students are already coming in to discuss their transition plans. We also continue to work with the Class of 2021 as they finalise their enrolments and commence study, or secure apprenticeships or employment.
VET Courses
Well done to all our students completing Vocational Education and Training (VET) courses off campus in 2022. Most students are doing all the right things – attending in full uniform (School or VET provider) and signing out before heading to their course. Students are reminded that if they cannot attend their VET class they should let Lou Renard know, and ensure they have a medical certificate for their absence. Attendance at VET is particularly important for assessment requirements.
Year 10 Work experience reminder
It has been great to chat to so many Year 10 students who are proactively working on securing their placement for 16-20 May.
Students should speak to their Connect teacher as their first point of contact in organising their placement.
Placement and all documentation is due to be completed by the end of Term 1.
