Monday CRAFT activities in the Library

The library offers more than just a great selection of books! Every Monday lunchtime we get our craft on. Meet at the STEM table, all materials are supplied and everyone is welcome!

Week 6  : Badge making 

The activity will take place on Tuesday 8 March to coincide with our International Women’s Day celebration. Drop by and make a badge to celebrate IWD.

Weeks 7 & 8 : Make a zine 

A zine is a handmade magazine or mini-comic about anything you can imagine: favourite bands, personal stories, subcultures, or collections. They contain diary entries, rants, interviews, and stories. They can be by one person or many, found in stores, traded at comic conventions, exchanged with friends, or given away for free.

Weeks 9 & 10 : Friendship Bracelets

Using the popular Purl Soho tutorial weave a friendship bracelet using embroidery floss. 

Assistance provided for all activities.

Bookmark Challenge : Reminder

There is still time to submit your entry to the bookmark design competition to create one of the official 2022 NHS Library bookmarks. Combine your love of reading with your creative flare!

• Theme is based on literature, style is your own choice
• Open to all year levels
• One entry per student, one student per entry
• Prizes for winning six entries
• Entry forms at the library desk
• Size approx 5cm x 19 cm, suitable image and clarity to fit the bookmark template

Entries close Friday 18 March
