Science:

In Science we will be looking at Biological Science by exploring Micro Organisms.

The Marvellous micro-organisms unit provides opportunities for children to develop an understanding of the role of micro-organisms in food and medicine. They will investigate the conditions micro-organisms need to grow, learn about yeast and the bread-making process, and research the development of penicillin.

Inquiry (Health):

We will continue to reinforce the Positive Start program with a unit of study based on the development of key concepts for each cohort.

Preventative Health

In this unit children explore what makes a healthy relationship with their peers. They discuss protective factors including a sense of belonging, personal empowerment, bonds of friendships, getting help from friends and the community to promote mental health and well-being. We will investigate how celebrating differences strengthens the community.
