Singing is Back!

Junior Choir will commence this Tuesday 15th February at 8.10 am in the Music room - JS4. All students in Years 3 to 6 are welcome to attend this Co-curricular opportunity, at no extra cost. Students are invited to come for two trial sessions to see if it is something that they would enjoy continuing on with. After this period students are asked to commit for the term as we will be working towards a performance at the MAG ANZAC Day ceremony.

Students who attended in previous years please note the change in day as it will now take place on a Tuesday.

I look forward to seeing new faces joining us from the 2022 Year 3 cohort.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions in regards to this.

We are also excited to inform you that we are able to once again offer singing lessons at MAG. We have two choices available for your preference:

Georgina Bish, an ex student of MAG and performer is able to offer vocal tuition and for those interested Georgina can also incorporate beginner piano accompaniment into the lessons.

Zara Lindeman, also a performer, from Deniliquin South West Music is also available for lessons. Having lessons with Zara includes you in the Conservatorium's family which offers performance opportunities and concert invitations.

Further information can be found on the school website.

Attention School Bus Travellers

All passengers from Grades 3 upwards are required to wear a face mask while travelling on the school bus.  This is to ensure the safety of our bus drivers and other passengers.

If drivers become unwell and are unable to work your child’s bus service may need to be cancelled.

Please note if there is a Code Red day, the school will be closed and buses will not run.

Echuca Moama Bridge Project

Stage 3

Since our last update, we’ve continued installing traffic barriers and steel railing along the new bridge over the Murray River.

We’ve also finished constructing 7 Squirrel Glider crossings over and under the new roadway, and continued stormwater drainage works.

In February, we’ll continue:

  • installing traffic barriers, steel railing and noise walls along the project alignment
  • laying asphalt across the project
  • landscaping works in Echuca and Moama.

Stage 4

Over the last 2 months, we’ve finished building the new road surface and installed traffic lights at the Cobb Highway and Meninya Street intersection.

In February, we’ll continue:

  • building the new intersection and installing traffic lights at Perricoota Road
  • widening and reconstructing Perricoota Road from Cobb Highway to Cemetery Road
  • constructing the new walking and cycling path.

Most works will take place from 6am to 6pm, Monday to Friday and 6am to 4pm, Saturdays.

This will ensure that works can be completed during daylight hours and while temperatures are cooler. We’ll be monitoring these works to ensure impacts are kept to a minimum.

The timing of our works may change depending on weather and site conditions. Some works may need to be undertaken out-of-hours. If this happens near you, we’ll let you know in advance.
