Book Week Youth Forum

Each year, a group of Year 10 students is invited to volunteer to participate in the annual Book Week Youth Forum, held at Santa Sabina College. This requires the students to read all six of the shortlisted novels for older readers as nominated by the Children’s Book Council of Australia, the organisation behind Book Week.  The forum is made up of representatives from four schools: Santa Sabina College, Meriden College, St. Joseph’s College, Hunters Hill and St Patrick’s College, and is moderated by the formidable Paul McDonald, taking place before an audience of Year 10 or Year 9 girls. Our students this year were acknowledged as outstanding, making critical and sometimes controversial comments displaying the depth of their understanding. The College was proudly represented by Thomas Coorey, Patrick Doolin, Jeremy Simonetto, Simon Khoury and  and Daniel De Pasquale
