Year 7 Touch Footy Competition

When Mr Biviano announced at PCP that we were having a touch footy competition, boys' eyes wandered around searching the rows for their friends in a flush of excitement, all trying to pick their teams. We all instantly knew this would be a fun opportunity, one not to be missed.

In total 78 boys entered, making up a total of 8 teams. The grand finalists were ‘The Wolves’ and ‘Up the Doggies’. It was a close game, one worthy of being played at the SCG. In the end ‘Up the Doggies’ emerged victorious with a final score of 3 – 2.

Everyone had a great time playing or watching these games. It was awesome to have boys from all year groups come to watch and cheer on those who were playing. Congratulations are in order to: Harvey Truscott, Aidan O’Brien-Kratiuk, Aidan Clarke, Simon Malki, Hayden Milson, Luke Thomas, Ronan O’Neill, Zac Toomey, and Angus Dillon.

This competition had an amazing outcome, bringing together all the boys in Year 7. It has been so long since anything like this has happened, which made the competition that much more memorable. I would like to give huge thanks to Mr. Biviano for organising and refereeing the event. I cannot wait for another opportunity like this to arise in the near future.
