ISA Athletics Championships

The Athletics squad are set to compete at the 30th Annual Independent Sporting Association Athletics Carnival to be held at Sydney Olympic Park Athletic Centre (SOPAC) next Tuesday 13 September 2022.

The squad are keen to back up their awesome winning performance from 2019, which was the last time this event occurred since the pandemic started. We wish all our athletes the best of luck for this Saturday’s final invitational carnival, competing to gain selection to the ISA Carnival next week.

Summer Sport Trials

The trial period has continued into Week 8. The Summer sport season officially gets underway this coming weekend with Baseball teams scheduled to play their first game of the RHBL competition. Junior Cricket teams will play their first game next weekend as part of the NDJCA Cricket competition, with all ISA Cricket and ISA Basketball teams set to commence next term. Although not all students and parents/carers will agree with selection decisions made during trials, I cannot emphasise enough that the trial process is a fair, transparent, and effective way of grading players into the appropriate teams to commence the season.

Congratulations - Dylan Parks (Year 11)

I wish to acknowledge and congratulate our College’s Rock Climbing sensation Dylan Parks (Year 11). You may remember back in June, Dylan qualified for the Australian Youth Team to complete in Dallas, Texas at the World Youth Championships. Wearing the Green and Gold for Australia, Dylan set a new personal best and a Youth A Australian Record (Speed Discipline). He competed with distinction and overall had a fantastic experience at his first international meet.
