Vice-Captains Report

Hello MWPS Community,

Recently, the Grade 1/2s and 3/4s were lucky enough to be able to go on two different excursions to help further advance their learning. The Grade 1/2s went to Sovereign Hill and the Grade 3/4s went to the Australian Sports Museum at the MCG. They had lots of fun whilst learning about different aspects of our history.

We asked some of the Grade 1/2 students to reflect on their day at Sovereign Hill. These were their responses:

Niah (2C) - We saw some lollies being made, and we got to try them too. I liked them but Riley didn’t.

Riley (2C) - I saw a gold bar and it was worth so much money.

Vinnie (1D) - I liked when we saw the chickens because they were so cute!

Aaliyah Maddern (1D) - I really loved panning for gold. I didn’t find any gold but there were lots of colourful rocks in my pan.

Father’s Day is just around the corner and our wonderful Parents and Friends Group will again be running a Father’s Day stall. The stall is an easy way for students to purchase a gift for a special adult in their life that acknowledges and thanks them for all they do. Further information about Father’s Day was sent home with students earlier in the week.

Remember to check out our Podcast which is posted on ClassDojo each week.

We hope everyone has a wonderful week!
