Year 12 Cook Off
On Wednesday 27 July, Lilli Hoodless, Inacia Ferreira and Ms Molina were provided with a Mystery Box of ingredients and had to design and produce a dish within 45 minutes. Mr Sinclair and Ms Dimu, along with some year 12 students judged the best dish.
Ms Molina went sweet and her year 12 students went savoury. A big congratulations to Lilli Hoodless who is the 2022 champion with her Zucchini Fritters.
Ration challenge
Last week, the year 12 Food Studies students had to complete a ration challenge. This is related to the current topic which is food security. They had a limited amount of ingredients that would normally be provided to feed four people for a whole day.
They had to create meals using all of the ingredients and then looked at the nutritional value and sensory characteristics of the dish.
