Christmas in July Food Drive
We would like to say a BIG, BIG thank you to everyone in the Oxley community, to students and their families who have so generously donated to our Christmas in July Food Drive. CIRE Community Services in Chirnside Park have been blown away, as we had the opportunity to deliver over 1,000 non-perishable food items to them on Friday 31 July.
These cans of beans, tuna and soups, packets of pasta, rice and noodles, will help stock their community pantry now, right up to Christmas. The pantry is made available for those who need it, no questions asked. We pray it will be a blessing those families who need a little or need a lot. Thank you, Oxley, for your love and care, your generosity and your community spirit!
Let’s continue to live out Mark 12:30-31 and Philippians 2:3-4
Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: ‘Love your neighbour as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these. Mark 12:30-31
Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others. Philippians 2:3-4
Blessings,
Ps Matt Daly
