Brialey Brightwell

PA to Deputy Principal / Assistant to Registrar

It is an exciting step in a new direction for me in beginning at Oxley Christian College! My background is horticulture, berry farming to be specific, and my role on the farm included administration and various day to day procedures. I’m enjoying the variety of my new role. 

It is such a blessing to have been led to this school and I am mindful, and so very thankful for God’s great provision in this.

ICT Service Desk Officer

I’m excited to join the ICT team and to serve the people at Oxley. I have been involved with computers in one way or another ever since I was young. In part because as a kid I used get a kick out of sneaking onto my dad’s work computer to play Space Invaders but mostly, because I find I’ve always been drawn to things that are colourful and unusual. The same applies to people, not that I interact with people like I play Space Invaders but rather, that I appreciate how different people are and how we each perceive and interact with the world around us differently. Something that has inexorably ushered me into this role here on the Oxley ICT Service Desk.

I’m a Star Wars fan, I enjoy the arts, music (not country) PlayStation, and getting outside. I look forward to seeing you all around the campus.

I am enjoying working in the Resource Centre. I enjoy working here because I like people and books. I am in a book club with women from my church which gives me different kinds of books to read and discuss. In my spare time, apart from reading, I go for walks and spend time with my three sons.

Elysia Nelson

Administration Assistant

I am excited to be part of the Oxley Administration team after many years as a stay-at-home mum to our three beautiful children and two very fluffy Alaskan Malamute fur-babies. Outside of work, I love to go bush camping, catch up with friends (with a good cuppa, of course!) and get creative designing and making unique gifts. I look forward to meeting many new faces and serving the College in my role.

Hello! I am very excited to have joined the Oxley family! I was born and raised in South Africa. In 2010, together with my husband and children, we moved to Australia, through God’s divine intervention. We lived in Sydney before moving to Melbourne in 2015. I enjoy playing tennis, skiing, walking and generally being outdoors. I look forward to serving you in Visitor Reception as best I can.

I am very excited to join the Oxley ICT team. I was born and raised in India. After completing my post-graduate there, I worked for a few software companies in India and the Middle East for about 10 years in various capacities. In 2008, I migrated to Australia with my family. In such a transition, I'd like to thank God for my church community and my children's school community for allowing my family and I to feel at home here in Australia. Prior to starting here at Oxley, I did consulting for a year after spending 12 years with a telco company as a technical lead. For leisure, I enjoy reading books, gardening, and assisting my wife in cooking!

Hola! I have a long history of working in IT for the corporate world in various job roles, so working in a school has been an exciting change for me, especially one that is God-centric. 

Before lockdowns, I often spent my weekends free-diving somewhere in the ocean. During COVID, I got an acrobatic, border collie puppy, to keep me company throughout the day. Recently, I have decided to learn Spanish.

I hope to meet you all, hopefully not always relating to an IT issue!
