Term 4 Week 2

Welcome back! Term 4 is going to be jam-packed full of fun activities and events that the students are looking very forward to!

PREMIER'S READING CHALLENGE AWARDS

All awards are currently in the process of being packaged, and are anticipated to arrive by the end of week 4.

ANNUAL SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR

This year we will be holding the Scholastic Book Fair on Community Night, Thursday 7th November 5-7pm in the Tirkandi Library. Classes will have the opportunity to browse through Book Fair items during the week where they can write their wish lists. Please come along to check out the display on the night. You may even be lucky enough to meet a very friendly big red dog!

PEN PAL CLUB

Last term Year 3-6 students were asked whether they would be interested in participating in a Pen Pal Club organised with Australia Post. Many students in Years 3, 4 and 5 demonstrated keen interest to participate and classes have now been paired with another classroom within Australia in states such as NSW, VIC and ACT. This week we began this special program in Tirkandi Library where students wrote letters to their pen pals interstate. Students were prompted to include information in their letters about their class and school, as well as their family, hobbies, and any questions they would like to ask. They thoroughly enjoyed decorating their letters with amazing pictures and designs! Letters will be posted by the end of the week. The students are extremely excited to receive a letter from their pen pal very soon!
