Welcome Back

Welcome back to the start of the last term for 2019. The year has certainly passed us in a blink and here we are starting to consider end of year functions!

The last term is always jammed packed with events. This year, as we have done over the last few years, we will be having a school closure day on the day after Community Night. This means there is no rush to get children up and ready for school the morning after the late night and excitement of the event on November 7th. Please note Community Night in your diary (5 - 7pm)

The final Pupil Free Day has also been approved for Monday, 11th November. Teachers and leadership will be analysing whole school data, further developing our whole school teaching practices and planning for learning.

OSHC will be available on both days. Please see Maria for bookings.

Jut a reminder all students need a broad brimmed hat for outside activities. We recommend writing your child’s name clearly onto their hat to increase the likelihood that it is returned to them if lost. They will need their hat for P.E lessons and for play times. The ‘NO HAT, NO PLAY’ rule is in place all year and students without a hat can only play or sit in the sheltered areas. School hats are available from the Uniform Shop.

Pastoral Care Worker (PCW)

This term LNPS will have a new Pastoral Care Worker as Nick will be focussing on his studies for the remainder of the year.  Nick has been an asset to our community and formed great relationships with our students and families. We wish him all the best.

Our new PCW, Coralie started with us on Monday of this term.

Hello, my name is Coralie and I am the new Pastoral Care Worker, at Lockleys North Primary School. Pastoral Care Workers offer a unique dimension of care and support to all members of the school community. I will be a positive role model and I bring compassion, understanding and provide practical, ongoing support to students and families. My role includes working alongside and complementing leadership, other welfare and wellbeing staff in the school.

As the School Pastoral Care Worker, I will be available in the yard at break times, will work alongside teachers and students in the classroom, and I will be an extra resource to teachers to support extra-curricular events and activities.

I will be at the school this term Wednesday afternoon and all day Friday. I can be contacted by students through the front office or via email.  I am really looking forward to assisting the school staff to provide the best outcomes for students and their families.
