Grease the Musical what a HIT!

Wrap up and photos!

This year's school musical of  Grease has sadly come to its finale, but not before selling out our four extremely successful, high energy and entertaining shows.

The last few years have starved the college of many of its creative and extracurricular activities and this year's production felt like a very much-needed release of creative vibrancy. The production cast this year banned together in a way that no other cast has in my experience. They supported each other, boosted each other up and rocked the stage with their enthusiasm and energy. But it wasn't all seamless, there were many trials and bumps along the way, including the flooding of the auditorium over the Term 2 holidays, but the cast never gave up on their positivity and perseverance. I should probably admit that these 45 talented students did the same for all the staff involved as well, keeping us going with their boundless vitality.

As always the end of a show is met with many tears and sometimes a loss of purpose, however, the smiles from cast members I meet on my day-to-day travels are a constant reminder of the joy, memories and laughs that we have created and shared over the past eight months.

The production family is one you never really leave once you join and I look forward to meeting our new 'family' cast members in the future as well as welcoming our veterans back in 2024...and hopefully, just maybe in a new auditorium.

Thank you to our community for coming along to support our production, we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.

I played Cha Cha in this year's school production of Grease. When I auditioned I was so nervous, I had never auditioned for anything and had never done any musicals before so it was all new to me. Throughout the eight months of rehearsals, I created lifelong friends and knowledge that I will never forget. I am beyond grateful that I continued this production even when I was too tired or it got annoying or I wanted to give up. I felt like I had an incredible amount of support from not only Mrs Knox and Mr Rice, but from Miss Marcou, and Mr Meyer. Kara, Mrs Knox's cousin came in to teach David and me our dance, she was supportive and encouraging and I felt like I learnt so much from her in the short time she came in. This production has given me so much inspiration and courage to pursue musicals in my future. I am forever grateful to everyone who made this production happen.
