The Arts

Our Foundation class have been learning and exploring 'Colour'. We have been focussing on learning Primary and Secondary colours.  This activity encouraged students to mix different primary colour combinations to create secondary colours. 

The primary colours make green. You mix yellow and blue to make green. - Regan

The colours red and blue make purple when they mix together. The primary colours can make all different colours. - Eliska

The 3/4 classes are adding the finishing touches to their hieroglyph cartouche drawings. We will be moving onto learning about some of the many Egyptian Deities and how they have been used in different ways in ancient Egyptian art.

The Grade 5/6 classes are continuing to work on comic / superhero images. These illustrations are linked to the artwork of Roy Lichtenstein.
