Cybersafety

When we use websites at school and for homework, they are all educationally appropriate; however, some websites do allow ads. Just a reminder that when accessing homework or games from these websites please do not click on ads as they take you away from the homework page.

Naplan

Naplan for our Year 3’s and 5’s has now been completed. I was very proud of all the children who adapted to the online mode for the test for the first time this year.

Sacrament of Eucharist

We celebrated the Sacrament of Eucharist last Sunday and our Year 4 students did an amazing job. They were all so reverent and enjoyed their next stage of their journey in faith.

Covid update

We have had notification from MACS, that we will continue to provide rapid antigen test (RATs) kits for the remainder of Term 2.

However, from Monday 23 May 2022, it is recommended that RATs are used by students and staff when symptomatic. RATs are also required to be used for five days if a student or staff member is a close contact of a confirmed case and they are attending or working at a school.

From Monday 23 May 2022, we do not recommend that non-symptomatic students or staff conduct RATs twice a week in mainstream schools.

Students and staff must continue to notify the Department of Health and their school if they return a positive RAT result.

RAT kits will be sent home for weeks 5 and 6 this week (today or Friday).

Thank you as always for your support in this ongoing pandemic.

Tomorrown Friday the 20th of May is National Walk to School day. Everyone is encouraged to walk to school.

4 teachers will be meeting at Ben Kavanagh Reserve playground at 8am.

Students and parents are welcome to meet us at Ben Kavanagh Reserve and walk with us to school.

We will hand out a walk to school day tattoo on Thursday so that you can wear it to school on Friday the 20th.

If you can’t join us at Ben Kavanagh Reserve you could park further away from school and walk a little bit.
