OUR FAITH

PRAYER

Christ of the journey, may we remember that you are always walking with us. You are always by our side as we create schools marked by joy and justice, compassion and community, truth and wisdom, peace and reverence. When we lose our way, bring us back to the path. Remind us that we are blessed, that we are sacred, and that we are called to reflect your grace. May you continue to bless those who learn and work in Catholic schools.

We make this prayer in the name of Jesus the teacher.

Amen

We pray ...

We pray for .....  all candidates who are preparing to make their First Reconciliation and First Eucharist this term; for staff and students as we celebrate Catholic Schools Week and for all who are sick or unwell.

CATHOLIC SCHOOLS WEEK - WEEK 5

The theme of this year's Catholic Schools Week is 'Our Hope-Filled Future'. Yesterday as part of Catholic Schools Week our Year 6 and our Term 2 SRC students attended mass at St Nicholas Church. It was lovely to welcome other schools, CSO staff, parents and friends to our St Nicholas Catholic community. A big thank you to everyone who helped on the day by undertaking various roles.

PANCAKE DAY

I am sure if you asked your child/ren what was one of the highlights from last week, at school, most would say “Pancake Day!” This was a huge success thanks to the generosity of our parent and student community who helped make batter, cook, spread, mix, dollop, squeeze, sprinkle, heard and serve a multitude of pancakes to the masses of children who were very keen and eager to purchase their oversized pancakes to help raise funds for the local St Vincent de Paul Society. Thank you one and all. As a school community we raised $782.45. A big thank you to Patrice McMullen who coordinated the whole experience. Patrice has helped coordinate this pancake experience for many, many years and with her youngest child in Year 6 she will now pass on the reigns. Thank you Patrice!

YEAR 6 RE TEST

This term our Year 6 students will be participating in the annual Religious Education Test on Friday 24th June (Week 9 ).

MAY - THE MONTH OF MARY

May is the month of the Blessed Virgin Mary. We can take the month of May as an opportunity to renew our own devotion to the Mother of God by dusting off our rosary beads and adding a few more Marian prayers to our daily routine. Prayers such as The Angelus, The Regina Caeli and The Memorae are some that can be included in your daily prayer as well as saying the Rosary.
