Intermediate Girls Netball

On Tuesday 24 May, LHS had a very successful day. The A1 team finished as WINNERS beating Lilydale Heights Secondary College in the Grand Final.  Our A2 team finished third overall.

 

In B section, our B1 team defeated Monbulk in the Grand Final to finish as CHAMPIONS of the DAY! Our B2 team finished third in their pool.

 

Well done to all staff and student helpers who assisted with coaching, umpiring and scoring 

 

The A1 team will now progress to Eastern Region finals.

Worowa Reconciliation Sports Carnival

On Tuesday 31 May,  EIS girls from Years 9 to 11 participated  in a fun day that encourages sport, cultural and social exchange between all participants.

 

Sports included; Netball, Volleyball and Basketball.   Our Year 9 EIS Basketball team lost by a point in the semi final.

 

Well done to all girls for a wonderful day!

Year 7 Girls Netball

On Wednesday 1 June, the Year 7 A1 Netball team finished the day undefeated and will go through to the next round!   Well done girls!!

Year 7 Boys Football

Some character building conditions at the Year 7 Yarra Group Football on Wednesday 1  June.

 

The A team managed to go through undefeated, conceding only 1 point for the day. The B team managed 2 wins from 3 games.

 

Great job by all the boys in cold, trying conditions.

 

The A team will compete in the Eastern Region final on Tuesday 21st June! GO LHS!

Box Hill Hawks vs Port Melbourne

Gary Ayres Fundamentals of Football Community Clinic

Former LHS student Bailey White, is running a community ‘Fundamentals of Football’ clinic on the Tuesday 28 June (School holidays). 

 

This clinic is being run by Gary Ayres and held at the Montrose Recreation Reserve.

 

Bailey is looking to get as many kids between the ages of 11-18 (both boys and girls) participating.   This this is a great opportunity to stay active during the school holidays whilst also improving skills and gaining valuable knowledge within the game of Australian Rules Football.
