Week 5 Term 2 and the weeks are flying by.
In boarding, we are concentrating on healthy food and plenty of rest for our Year 12’s to make the most of their study time, to complete assessments that are due soon and exams that will come around before we know it. Our Year 11’s are nonstop community sport at the moment which we enjoy sharing with them. Ladies football Friday nights, Mixed hockey Saturday, Men’s football and Netball each weekend, either Saturday or Sunday – our social calendars are pretty full! Then add in Town Leave, Tammin Roadhouse or a run to Northam, Saturday fire pit pizza night and Sunday movies and we will need to come back to classes to rest.
We are very close to sending out all communication regarding the North West Tour from the 18th to 29th July 2022. Given COVID, we have had some delays but it is looking like an extremely exciting trip.
Unfortunately delays in freight, COVID and Brisbane floods means our leavers jumpers are still a couple of weeks off. Despite all good intentions of getting the order in very early, the delay is really beyond our control.
Thank you to those parents who are ensuring their students are driving back to College earlier on Sundays. The roads are getting very foggy and wet as winter approaches and it is reassuring to know that all are safe and sound before 7:30pm. I have been discussing the concept of driving with the conditions, not against them and encouraging students to leave earlier to make the most of the daylight and safer driving conditions.
