Growing Faith at Home - Pentecost
On Pentecost Sunday we celebrate how the Holy Spirit comes to help us believe and live as God’s children. Red is the colour of Pentecost – it represents the flames of fire that descended on the followers of Jesus when the Holy Spirit came 50 days after Jesus’ resurrection. You will find the story of Pentecost in Acts 2 1-21
There are lots of ways to celebrate Pentecost at Home – maybe you could bake a cake and celebrate the churches birthday with candles and singing. You could make a red velvet cake or decorate it with marshmallows as little flames. Maybe you could make or fly a kite and consider how the Holy Spirit moves amongst us like the wind.
