Founders Day Mass

 

The Founders Day Mass is held every year at Mazenod College and celebrates the French priest Eugene De Mazenod who established a new society known as the “Missionaries of Provence” in France in 1816. 

 

Under the new name “Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate”, this Religious Congregation was granted formal approval by Pope Leo XII on the 17th February 1826. The Oblates arrived in Australia in 1894 and established Mazenod College in Mulgrave in 1967.
