Principal's Post

Dear Parents,
This week we celebrated Founder’s Day, the Feast of St. Eugene De Mazenod in quite a different way but hopefully in a way that enabled us to reflect on our good fortune to be recipients of his witness through the service of the Oblates of Mary Immaculate. The usual format of celebrating Mass in the Provence Centre with a significant number of Oblates and Friends of the De Mazenod Family with the entire College Community is always a memorable and powerful display of faith and identity. Hopefully for all those on our streamed version for 2020 felt the same way.
The results of our Remote Learning Survey have been collated and below is a summary of the comments from parents, staff and students. This is only a sample of the report which will be available to everyone early next week. The report commends the work of the teachers and educational support staff but also gives us feedback to consider and then make appropriate adjustments to our platform and methods.
The VCE and VCAL (Years 11 & 12) students will be back from next Tuesday May 26 and the remainder of the school will be back from Tuesday June 9 to enjoy the conventional classroom. There is much to be learnt from the remote learning experience and its delivery, which we apply to our classes in the future. Thank you to those who participated in the surveys.
Yours sincerely,
Mr Tony Coghlan
Principal
