Physical Education from Mr Jenkins...

I have been incredibly impressed with the effort the Junior students have made in their cross country practice. Our goal is to have all Junior classes complete the event this week in their PE sessions (weather dependant), so please make sure everybody has their water bottles and running shoes!

Pupil of the Week

Physical Education:

Junior: Johanna C 1/2W

What an amazing improvement you made with your running in just 1 week, Johanna! You demonstrated amazing perseverance by running 5 laps in our cross country training after practicing at home to make sure you were ready. I was so impressed and I can’t wait to see how you go in the real thing! Great job, Johanna!

Senior: Tanaka M 3/4M

For consistently displaying great skill and zest in PE during remote learning. Such a talent and so focussed Tanaka! Keep up the positive attitude for the rest of the year, thank you for your efforts during remote learning.

Indonesian:

Junior: Mia H 1/2BR

For demonstrating an excellent understanding of objects and prepositions. Your mini-poster shows a great understanding of how to write sentences describing the location of objects. Hebat, Mia!

Senior: Surya B 5/6S

For beginning a detailed Tourism Brochure on Sumatra. I really appreciate how you integrated your Indonesian sentences alongside your research about the island. You have also chosen some fantastic pictures which inspire the audience’s interest - hebat!

Visual Arts:

Junior: Harrison C FJ

What a sensational effort - You created a wonderful realistic rose and painted your image with such flair and care. You have imagination and skill in equal measure. Keep showing your zestiness and appreciation of beauty. It’s a joy to see you mature in this subject.

Senior: Samanvi K 3/4K

What a refreshing change to see you reflecting on philosophical aspects connected with your art work. I loved reading your Rumi and Mercado references. And to top it all off - your artwork has been outstanding too. You created a sensational drawing of the Fighting Fish. A very well deserved student of the week. Very impressive.

Performing Arts:

Junior: Wendy W 1/2E

For your creativity when moving your body like a machine, and kindness towards your classmates. Wendy exudes confidence when performing and enjoys helping others when collaborating too. Outstanding effort.

Senior: Juliet O 5/6S

For demonstrating outstanding music ability when completing the ‘Cup Rhythms’ every week. Juliet always challenges herself to take her learning further where possible. Super work!
