Reporting Update

We wish to update our learning community on changes for the Semester 1 student reports.  The Department of Education and Training has adjusted the expectations of Student Reports for Semester 1 in recognition of the transition to remote and flexible learning during Term 2.  To support this, HPSC will be having a student-free day on Friday 26th June.  This day will be used by teaching staff to complete assessment of both formative and summative tasks and prepare reports for students and families.

At Hampton Park Secondary College, we know it is vital to involve students and their parents/carers in learning.  Semester reports are a key part of this process.  For Semester 1, reports will include the typical areas of a description of the areas of the Victorian Curriculum F-10 taught and comments regarding student learning achievement and improvement.

Hampton Park Secondary College will be providing teacher judgements where possible using our agreed school-based scale (A-E).  However, the ability to assess using this scale will be based on individual classes, their level of interruption due to COVID-19, and the transition to remote and flexible learning.  Where interruption has occurred, teachers will add a brief comment explaining the modifications made.

Please note that comments regarding how students have adjusted to the remote and flexible learning environment were provided in the May 2020 GPA reports.

Semester 1 reports will be released to the HPSC community on Wednesday 15th July (Week 1 of Term 3) so students and their families can access these reports and use them to plan their 2021 courses.

We thank all of our staff for the preparation of these reports and look forward to discussing these with students and their families early in Term 3.
