Holiday Camps and Activities

We have had a number of questions about camps and activities which were due to take place during the July School Holidays. The following activities will not be proceeding during the holiday break this year:

• The Kakadu Trip
• Cadet Promotions camp
• The KWS Ski Trip
• Musical Camp
• Year 12 Major Project camps
   

Update on Cadets

As stated above, the Cadet Promotions Camp will not be occurring during the school holidays as in other years. Given the COVID-19 restrictions currently in place, we are unable to safely offer this residential camp for our students. Instead, our Cadet promotions course will be delivered to those students wishing to undertake the promotional pathway on Monday and Wednesday afternoons throughout Term 3. Some of these lessons will be delivered online, and others will require students to be present for a face to face lesson. The Cadet staff will confirm details of how this course will run in the coming weeks. 

The current restrictions will also mean that we are unable to recommence our Cadet Home Training program in Term 3, including the introduction of the Year 7 recruits to the program. It is hoped that we will be able to recommence our Home Training program in Term 4. There will be an update on this next term. 

Any Year 9 students who wish to discontinue their involvement with the Cadet program are asked to return their Cadet clothing and equipment to the Q-Store this term.
