It's great to have everyone back and engaged at school. While we've had some bitterly cold mornings, students have been enjoying playing on the many sunny days we've had over the past two weeks.
This term we welcome the following staff to our team:
The portable classroom removal and demolition was fully complete during the school break. The planned fencing has been installed across the primary play space to prepare for the building project.
The gravel carpark is currently still available for parking. We encourage families to continue the alternate to and from school transition arrangements you have commenced this term as the gravel carpark will be fenced off and not available later in the year and all of next year.
Some families are using the Belmont Park carpark and side gate at the start and end of the school day. This is working well and parents have commented on the ease of this new transitions. We have a few students being driven down to the administration building for their transition into school. Following a reminder about waiting behind buses and being safe, traffic out the front of has since been smoother and safer.
A big thank you for being flexible, and for being safe and patient as we all adjust to new parking and transition arrangements.
This term our community event will be a Footy Day as chosen by our Student School Council. Footy Day will be on Wednesday 13 September, (last week of term 3). Our Student School Council and Student Engagement Professional Learning Team are currently planning various football themed activities for this day.
You will be invited to join in for part of the day. Please save the date and we’ll let you know of further details in the coming weeks.
Last term our Mother's Day stall raised $494. We hope our mother's, grandmother's and carers enjoyed their individually chosen gift.
On Thursday 31 August and Friday 1 September we will have our Father's Day stall at CSDS.
All money raised during both of these stalls will go towards funding a new swing in the Secondary play space.
