Give us calm strength and patient wisdom as we bring them up,
that we may teach them to love whatever is just and true and good,

2023 Sacrament of Confirmation:
Last Sunday, the 4th June, St Joseph’s Parish celebrated the Sacrament of Confirmation. Fr Abmar, in the absence of Bishop Kennedy, confirmed 33 candidates who he believed were ready for the final Sacrament of Initiation. It was a lovely celebration and Mrs Honner noted at the conclusion of Mass that we don’t need a bishop as Fr Abmar did such an amazing job leading the Mass!
Thank you to Emma Brown and Karla Johnson who cooked the BBQ at the Retreat Day, as well as to Lizzy Denovan, Megan Ellbourn, Megan Martin and Maryanne Grosser who assisted with the Readings at Sunday’s Mass.
2023 Sacrament of First Eucharist:
Preparations will soon be underway for the Sacrament of First Eucharist, which will be held next term. If your child has recently enrolled at St Xavier’s (since Term 3 2022) and is Catholic and in Years 3-5, please email mfrend@arm.catholic.edu.au to ensure your child can be added to the list of 2023 First Eucharist candidates. Proof of baptism will be required if your child’s Baptismal Certificate is not included in their Enrolment Form.
Whole School Mass - Thursday Week 8
Stage 2 classes (Years 3 and 4) have prepared a Whole School Mass for the St Xavier’s community. It will be held at St Joseph’s Church next Thursday 15th June (Week 8) at 9:30am. As our whole school will be present, space is limited so if you wish to attend please be sure to arrive early to ensure you get a seat in the back rows of pews.
