My First Very Exciting Communion
It was the day of my first holy communion, I was shaking and I nervous.
When it was time to begin, everyone sat down and looked at the brochure, then the priests started to speak for the introduction. A few minutes later, the first group stepped up to the altar to speak
then it was my turn to say my prayer. Once I had finished I didn't know why I was so anxious! Soon everyone spoke and it was time to eat the bread. (Spoiler alert; it tasted like cardboard!) Then after that, we sang a song called ‘these hands’. We sang the finishing song ‘shine among’, My family and I walked out and went home. Some of our family and friends came over for some afternoon tea. We had lots of treats like scones and lots of other things. I had the best time ever! It was a very special day for me.

My First Holy Eucharist
I step out of the car. One slow step at a time I made my way to the entrance of the glamorous church. I stop for a second and blessed myself. Now I am ready. I steadily openthe tall doors and find myself a seat. As I wait for the mass to begin I take a moment to admire my surroundings. The church has some beautiful shaded windows with the pictures Of God, Of Mary, the Doves and of course Christ.
With the ring of a bell the Mass has started. The first readers go up to the altar and start our first eucharist celebration. “ We welcome you to the celebration of our First Holy Eucharist. We will begin this ceremony by singing the entrance song.”
After a while, it is my turn to speak. I walk up to the altar and bow. I steadily tilt the microphone and begin my prayer.“We pray for the catholic church, for our Pope Francis, the bishops, priests and all the clergy. May they show Jesus’s love to everyone they meet. Let us all pray to the lord.”“ Lord hear our prayer.” says the church in a holy eucharist.
Now it was time to receive the body of Christ, we walked in a line and blessed ourselves. It was our special moment. When it was my turn I bowed and said, “Amen.” The body was
placed into the palm of my hand. I stepped to the side and ate the bread. Once again I blessed myself. At the end we sang shine among all together and we all feel blessed for now Jesus’s spirit is always with us everywhere we go. What a memorable day.
