Galilee Extra Curricular Music Program Showcase Concert

We had a wonderful Music Showcase last night with over 50 students performing on drums, guitar and keyboard. It was so heartwarming to see such talent and dedication from these students.

Thank you to everyone who came and supported the students.

A huge thank you to our instrumental teachers, Richard (drums), Trent (guitar) and Leonard (piano). 

If any child from Year 1 to Year 6  is interested in joining the Extra Curricular Music Program, please contact Ms Carmen Carnovale ccarnovale@gsm.vic.edu with the instrument and your child's year level and Carmen will direct your enquiry to the appropriate teacher. 

Reconciliation Week

As part of Sorry Day and Reconciliation Week, we led a different acknowledgement and prayer at Friday's assembly. On that day, staff and students were encouraged to wear colours for the flags of First Nations peoples - the red, yellow, black of the Aboriginal flag, or the blue, green, white of the Torres Strait Islander flag. 

Everyone looked amazing. Thank you to everyone who dressed up and brought a cold coin. We raised $336.50. That money goes to the VACCA  - the Victoria Aboriginal Child Care Agency, who help Aboriginal children and their families across Victoria.
