YEAR 10 CERAMICS
This semester the Year 10 ceramic students have been busy creating portraits based on the given theme of ‘Identity’. The student’s interpretation of the theme was extraordinarily diverse and their ambitions often challenged their capabilities in the technical aspects of hand building in clay. These wonderful creations will definitely be one of the many highlights in our upcoming Senior Art Show.
Please do yourself a favour and come over to T block to wonder at the imagination, skills and diversity of these fantastic ceramic portraits.
We hope to see you there!

Ceramics Teacher
This semester, the Year 10 ceramics students explored the theme of "Identity" by creating self-portraits. We started with brainstorming ideas related to this theme; an example includes self-conflict. Based on these ideas, we sketched potential concepts and began working with clay. We all had very diverse perspectives, resulting in creative and unique artworks.
Overall, this was not only an enjoyable task but also one that allowed us to gain various new ceramic skills. I find ceramics to be a joyful subject with lots of possibilities.

I have never had any experience or contact with ceramics before, and this is my first time. I have been looking forward to the ceramics course for a long time.
The task for this semester is to make a portrait of ourselves. I have encountered a lot of difficulties, but with the help of my teacher and classmates, I was able to achieve a satisfactory result. I deeply appreciate my teachers and friends who are with me during this journey, bringing me from zero to one hundred.
