Year 12 University Tours

Year 12 students visited Monash University, Clayton Campus and Deakin University, Burwood Campus on Monday 19 June.

Students toured the campuses and discovered what Uni life looked and felt like.

Course and entry requirements were explained and college residents explored.

All valuable experiences before VTAC opens on July 31. Many thanks to Monash and Deakin Universities for supporting our students on these tours.

Trade Taster Program - Careers Club

GSSC partnered with GoTAF, Latrobe University, University of Melbourne, Headstart and Industry representatives to deliver a trade taster program for Careers Club on Thursday 22 June.

Students engaged with trainers of Automotive, Building and Construction, Electrical, Plumbing, Refrigeration, Engineering Fabrication, Engineering Civil and Information technology

Speed Careering Event

Many thanks to the following Business and Industry for presenting to our staff on Tuesday, 20 June for a speed careering event.

Presenters informed staff of local employment opportunities for young people in our region.

In a speed dating format, presenters spent 5 minutes with small groups of staff. This quick short sharp fun event is a great way to upskill staff on industry requirements so they can in turn inform students of opportunities locally.
