Women In Trades

Year 9 students took part in the female and non-binary trades day on Friday the 14th and 21st of July organised by GMLLEN.

Day one students were hosted by Total Plaster Supplies, Sunni TAFE and Watters Electrical. Students experienced securing a plaster rose, walking in stilts, using equipment such as nail guns, wiring a power point and light bulb and stripping wire.

They also heard from female apprentices about their experience with their apprenticeships at Watters Electrical.
