A reminder, with wintery conditions continuing, to organise correct uniform items for your child over the upcoming few weeks. Larger sizes often have to be ordered in at the Hardware store, so give yourself plenty of time to ensure your child has the correct uniform items. With the school being adequately heated, and warm spaces for students to be in at break times, starting from next term, students wearing non-uniform items will be asked to remove it for the day and may choose to borrow a replacement item of clothing from school.
This week is exam week for Year 11s and GAT week for students completing a Unit 3 or 4 subject. While these exams are generally for practise, and to show students and teachers what the students have learnt over the semester, students still often get a bit nervous at this time of the year. Units 2 and 4 of subjects start straight after this exam period for the senior students.
School Council are meeting this coming Wednesday at 6pm in Room 9. All community members are welcome.
The council are planning a “Warm up for Winter” raffle, raising money for some equipment for the school Café (see article further on) and are also planning an event the following Wednesday 21st June at 6pm. This will be an extraordinary council meeting. There will be a short presentation of the annual report to the school community from 2022, a chance to meet the school councillors and there will light refreshments provided. Please RSVP to the Office by Monday 19th June for catering purposes.
