Scholarships with The Smith Family
The Smith Family supports long term participation in education through the provision of timely opportunities and support, enabling students to optimise their education outcomes. For this reason, The Smith Family offers Learning for Life Scholarships, Programs and Support throughout the primary, secondary and tertiary education years.
Scholarships are awarded to students in financially disadvantaged families that have demonstrated their commitment to education and who would benefit from additional resources and support and who meet the referral criteria.

Free Reading Support Program
**Would your child benefit from some extra support with reading?**
The Smith Family’s student2student program matches students with trained high school buddies who listen to them read over the phone a few times a week.
Last year, 96% of participating students improved their reading over the course of the program.
The 18-week program aims to improve students’ reading and confidence. Students need to be 8 to 14 years old to participate in the program.

Saver Plus is a free ten-month program that provides financial education, budgeting and saving tips. Once you finish the program, ANZ will match your savings, dollar for dollar, up to $500, for education costs for you or your children.
