Vacation Care Program

Please find attached the Vacation Care Program planned for the upcoming school holidays. Parents who are interested in booking children into the service are encouraged to do so as soon as possible as it does often book out. Bookings can be made by calling Rebecca Bergus, Mob:   0415 362 405.

Working Bee

The Grounds Committee would like to conduct a brief working be on Friday July 1st at 9:00am til 10:00am to tidy up the entrances to the school in preparation for the Federal Election Polling Day which will be held at West Beach Primary School the following day on Saturday July 2nd. Parents who are able to assist are invited to bring along gloves and any gardening tools to help lend a hand. 

Cultural Exchange

Southern Cross Cultural Exchange has a large number of students arriving in July from all over the World. I am still urgently looking for families for French, Italian and German students arriving in July for 5mths.

Native Plant Giveaway

The City of West Torrens will be holding its annual Native Plant Giveaway Saturday 4 June.  As part of this initiative, residents can get a free pack of native plants for their garden to encourage biodiversity and sustainability across the region. Each pack contains a selection of hardy, attractive and water wise species.

School Uniform

Parents are reminded that the current 18 month transition period to our new school uniform policy finishes at the end of this year. All students will be required to dress in accordance to our new requirements in Janurary 2017. 

The school Uniform Policy, order form and pricelist is attached below. Items can be purchased via order form with credit/cash payments.

The uniform shop is available for viewing and sizing every morning from 8.30am till 10.00am. 

Parent Workshops

The Western Adelaide Shores Partnerships in Community Portfolio has organised a series of parent workshops which will be run through terms 2 and 3 2016. Each workshop will focus on a different topic. These topics were selected through a Western Adelaide Shores parent survey.

The workshops will be presented by Donna Broadhurst. Donna works in private practice as a counselling therapist and with DECD as a Family Support Coordinator in an early childhood and school setting. She has worked as a mental health clinician with CAMHS and as a member of the teaching team in UniSA's early childhood degree program. She is also an experienced workshop presenter.

Census Employment Opportunity

School Fees

Parents who have any outstanding school fees or OSHC fees which require payment are encouraged to do so as soon as possible. Parents who are unsure of their outstanding fees or who would like to discuss payment options are asked to speak with Paula in the front office by phoning 83567944.

Lost Property

Parents are asked to please ensure that all clothing worn to school hasParents are invited to have a good look through the lost property collection which is located under the stairs near the front office. Please check for lost items and help yourself to any items in good condition which do not have a name written on them.

OSHC Accounts

OSHC Parents are reminded to make regular payments  to their OSHC accounts.

 

In order for the OSHC to run efficiently and to cover staff costs it is important that accounts are settled as soon as possible after each statement is sent out.

 

Accounts are now being sent out weekly.

Come ‘n Try

Come ‘n Try is fast approaching and we would love your child to be involved!

 

Come ‘n Try is an initiative of the Adelaide City Council, presented by Life. Be in it. The program seeks to encourage 5 to 16 year olds to get active and try a fun and exciting new sport or recreational activity in the holidays!

 

It will take place during the first week of the July School holidays (11/07/2016 – 15/07/2016).

The Come ‘n Try sessions are held in the Adelaide CBD and parklands.
