Intermediate Badminton

On Friday the 21st of June, the JMSS Intermediate Badminton team played a round robin against other schools within the Monash Division.

The boys A and B teams performed incredibly well and finished the competition as runners up.

Congratulations to the A and B teams for their outstanding effort, with both teams winning the competition. The girls A team will be moving onto Regionals!

On behalf of the intermediate badminton team we would like to thank Ms Xu, Mr Whyte and all the teachers involved for taking us to the venue and organising the event.

Thanks,

Senior Girls Badminton

The 19th of July saw part two in the adventures of the JMSS senior girls badminton team. With fresh confidence from their prior victory, 6 students competed in the Eastern Metropolitan Region Senior Girls Badminton. The girls placed a tremendous second place after a day filled with incredible energy and intense battles.

It was a pleasant day that matched the excitement the girls had after 2 months of eager anticipation for further success. Not only did the competition provide the opportunity to further their badminton skills but also meet other badminton enthusiasts from around the region. Competing against respectable rivals allowed the girls to foster good sportsmanship and gain valuable playing experience. This year's team was particularly strong thanks to the tight bond between all the girls who showcased excellent teamwork in both the doubles matches as well as providing encouragement and support for their peers.

Next year, with more training and experience under their belts, the JMSS senior girls badminton team will smash their way through to states.
