One Punch !
Caterina Politi visited our school with the aim of raising awareness of the dangers of street and social violence and the 'coward punch'. She works very hard to create a safer community and spread this very important message STOP. One Punch Can Kill which is also the slogan of the foundation she started.
Her 22 year old son, David Cassai, was tragically killed in Rosebud on New Year’s Eve 2012 from just one punch after a senseless, unprovoked violent attack. She shared her loss and described how much she has been impacted by this tragedy.
"Hearing her talk about it was eye opening and very emotional. We watched a video of David’s friends and family who spoke about how great he was and how his death affected them. It started to make me think about life and how short it is" Renee Howe
"I was sad to know that someone can do so much damage with only one punch"
Chandelle Plevier
"An extremely powerful presentation"
Marie Capon-Pittorino
“I learnt how we can stop it. Keep your fists down and walk away”
Daniel Howl.
“I think it was very brave and strong of her to talk to us about such a personal tragedy”
Tiarna Abbott
“I feel angry because one punch killed such a nice guy’”
Mandy Lee
