SCHOOL UNIFORM 

LHS School Uniform 

Students are required to wear correct school uniform every day, including travelling to and from Lilydale High School.  

 

School uniform policy is determined by School Council and reviewed on a regular basis.

 

The support of parents/guardians in relation to uniform would be greatly appreciated in delivering a high standard of appearance for students.

 

All  school uniform requirements are available through LOWES, Lilydale.

Uniform Requirements

Girls' Shoes

BLACK polishable hard leather low-heeled lace up shoes OR girls black leather T-bar shoes (as shown in the school planner and this page).

 

Girls' Dresses/Skirts

Both the box pleated tartan skirt and the school check dress, must be worn at an appropriate length.

 

Girls' Tights

Black opaque tights only (no patterns allowed). White socks must not be worn over black tights.

 

Boys' Shoes

BLACK polishable hard leather low-heeled lace up shoes (as shown in the school planner and this page) - no logos, runner styles, bands, stripes etc.

 

Socks 

All socks (girls and boys) must be WHITE not black  - no logos, stripes etc.

 

Belts 

Belts must be of a plain black nature with an

appropriate buckle.

 

Jackets

The only jacket that can be worn in place of the school jumper or windcheater is the LHS weatherproof jacket.  Jumpers with hoods are not allowed.

 

Earrings

The school allows students to wear a stud or sleeper in the ear provided it does not infringe or breach School and Department of Education, Health and Safety Guidelines.  

 

NOT TO BE WORN:

Make-up, nail polish and excessive jewellery. 

 

NO FACIAL JEWELLERY IS PERMITTED to be worn by students during the school day.

 

Optional items

  • LHS weatherproof jacket
  • Students are encouraged to wear mouthguards during all Physical and Sport Education classes.

VCE Uniform

The VCE uniform is as for the rest of the school except students in Years 11 and 12 may wear the dark blue polo shirt with school VCE logo instead of the white polo shirt with school logo.

 

Students may wear the dark blue windcheater or jumper with the school VCE logo.

 

PASE Uniform

During practical sessions, students must be in full PE uniform;

  • Navy coolmesh shorts with Logo
  • Navy polo top with school logo
  • Tracksuit pants navy microfibre with Logo
  • White sports socks
  • Cap/hat (excluding visors) to be worn by students in all Physical and Sport Education classes Terms 1 and 4

Out of Uniform

If students wear an  item out of uniform, they must endeavour to wear something as close as possible to replace the item.  

 

A note signed by a parent/guardian must be provided to obtain an out of uniform pass from either a Year Level Coordinator, Home Group Teacher or Year Level Sub School Assistant.

 

Parents will be contacted if students are constantly out of uniform.
