Year 8

Term 3

Term 3 has been filled with lots of opportunities for the students to enjoy themselves and be challenged.   A number of students have continued to represent the College in Debating and Public Speaking.  Several students from each Homeroom have competed in the Lego Masters Championships, the Australian Maths Competition and the Science Week Kahoot Championships.  Each Homeroom has also celebrated their Class Mass in the school Chapel and elected two Class Captains to lead them over the remaining few months of Year 8.

As you may be aware, every student has been busy over the last few weeks selecting their subject preferences for Year 9.   In addition, our annual Year 8 House Cross Country was run along Mentone Beach over a distance of 3kms in July and we are currently mid-way through our Tennis Tournament.  Looking ahead, our three ACC sports – basketball, hockey and table tennis – will have their Finals on  September 12.  There are countless ways for students to get involved in the life of the school and the activities on offer.
