Years 1 and 2

Years 1 and 2 students have enjoyed returning to remote learning and have been engaging in many fun activities. One of the fun activities they have enjoyed completing is Friday Fun Maths. Last week, students were required to make a clock out of whatever they could. They then had to take photos of their clock showing different times and write the times the clocks were showing. Some students decided to create their clocks out of Lego, spray paint, chalk and even cupcakes! They were encouraged to include the whole family in their learning to demonstrate that families can have fun learning together.

The 1/2 students have also been busy completing a persuasive essay on the topic 'We need to do more to protect our oceans' to enter into the Science Week competition. The teachers have enjoyed reading the persuasive pieces from the students. Some students have also been busy creating their entries for the Science Week creative and design challenges. We can't wait to see everyone's entries.

The Science Behind...

The students in the 3/4 community have begun learning all about the science behind the ocean. This week students have created a Padlet listing all the different things that they collectively already know about the ocean.

STEM

Students in Years 3 and 4 have been enjoying their weekly STEM tasks this term. These have related to our shared text 'The Wild Robot'. Students have made Roz, camouflaged her and created Roz and Brightbill's home since beginning remote learning.
