St Augustine’s Day

Plans are underway to celebrate the Feast of St Augustine next Friday, 28th August, with a pre-recorded electronic presentation that will be made available on our College Facebook page. The Feast of St Augustine is a time for us to reflect on St Augustine's life and writings which have added a great deal to the Catholic tradition. On behalf of Mini Vinnies, we would like to thank you all for your contribution to the Sock It to the Can fundraiser! We had an amazing response and we know that many people will be positively impacted by your donations!

Wayne Mulcahy, Treasurer of Kyabram Vinnies, (pictured above right) gratefully received our Sock it to the Can contribution recently from Mr Ian Paterson, one of our Mini Vinnies staff leaders. Thank you to everyone who contributed non-perishable food, money and winter warmers to the campaign this year.

The collection was a wonderful expression of our College and Parish Community's faith and generosity. Reaching out to those in need is to have a preferential option for the poor. Caring for the poor is everyone’s responsibility. Preferential care should be shown to poor and vulnerable people, whose needs and rights are given special attention in God’s eyes.
