Scholastic Book Club Issue 6
Due to remote learning, Book Club will go digital as it did during our first round of remote learning.
Last call for orders from Issue 6. Attached is the flier and the link to the online copy of the catalogue. Orders will need to be done via LOOP at Scholastic Book Club website and then picked up when they are delivered to the school.
We will notify families when the orders get here.

Library Lessons
There have been some terrific efforts put in by students to create work for their response to the Science Week 2020 theme ‘Deep Blue’. It is great to have students able to do some creative work as well as listening to stories about this interesting theme.
Children’s Book Week has been rescheduled for 17-23 October from it’s usual time in mid August. The theme this year is Curious Creatures, Wild Minds. Next week we will start looking at the CBCA shortlisted books for the Children’s Book of the Year Award for 2020. Again there are some terrific books on the short lists of six books for each category.

Library During Remote Learning
Now that we are back in remote learning mode, the Library is recommending students keep up their reading using the two ebook providers we have subscribed to: Wheelers and SORA. Both of these are available from the Library links on SIMON. Years 3/4 students have SORA set up in a tab on their laptops for easy access. Don’t forget our Library Web OPAC - catalogue and webpage (http://lib.sakyabram.catholic.edu.au/#!dashboard) for great online information links as well as our catalogue for St Augustine’s resources.
