PFC News

Dear BPS parents & friends,

The BPS PFC is planning some seriously fun social events for 2020 so please save these dates into your calendar right now:

Save the date:

-Friday 20 March, 12:30-2:30 PM, PARENTS’ LUNCH at RBYC.

-Thursday 21 or 28 May LAPATHON fundraiser at school.

-Saturday 13 June, 7 PM-12:30 AM WINTERFEST major fundraising event.

All 2020 PFC Activities:

The year kicks off with the annual PARENTS’ LUNCH, on Friday 20/3 from 12:30 PM-2:30 PM, followed by an after-party, at the Royal Brighton Yacht Club. Mums and dads welcome. Tickets on sale soon.

On Friday mornings throughout the year, COMMUNITY MATTERS will bring valuable wellbeing information to our community in a casual setting in the Community Hub next to the Grounds cafe.

After the Easter raffle, the yearly LAPATHON will follow, either on Thursday 21 or 28 (TBC) May.

On Saturday 13 June, WINTERFEST, the school’s major fundraiser and a great night out for parents, will be held at a fabulous venue. Definitely book a babysitter for the social event of the school year.

The Mothers’ & Fathers’ Day stalls will see students hand-pick a special gift to take home for mum or dad.

And the family-oriented SPORTS CARNIVAL will bring the year’s activities to a close, in November (date TBC).

And we’ll also continue to sell our amazing cookbooks throughout 2020. Purchase your copy today via Qkr!.

2020 Class Lists & CRs & YLCs:

For privacy reasons, the PFC must, every year, request parents and guardians to provide their contact details for the class lists. Please follow instructions within the Compass message to respond to this request ASAP.

The PFC is seeking volunteers as Class Representatives (CR) and Year Level Coordinators (YLC) this year. Job descriptions will be circulated next week, via Compass. If you have the capacity to help, please ‘check the box’ at the bottom of the online form when you’re consenting to have your details included in the class lists.

If either of these roles don’t suit you, there’ll be lots of other volunteering opportunities and we’ll let you know about these soon.
