The value of reading
Not only does reading increase your vocabulary, literacy and communication skills it is also a great tool to have when you leave school. Imagine starting a new job and you're asked to fill out a form and not only can you not read what it requires but you have trouble writing the answers. Sadly, approximately 26% of the world's adult population cannot read or write and in some countries over half of these people are women. In short, make the most of your library; ask the librarian to help you find something that you're interested in which will make reading a pleasure not a chore.
Remember this: "I want to hire someone who cannot read or write; said no boss ever!".
