Principal's Report

Dear Parents and Friends...
Whilst winter has finally arrived we are lucky to have still been blessed with blue skies and sunshine these past few days. No doubt as the days pass we will begin to see shorter days and greyer skies but as we know, our planet needs the cold and wet of winter as much as the warmth of summer. Each season has an important impact on our planet and on us. As parents and teachers we can use the symbolism of the seasons to help our children learn about the importance of letting go and preparing for change. Please ensure your child has the correct winter uniform on as well as the correct school jacket. The students are permitted to wear navy scarves.
Assemblies
After deliberation with the School Advisory Board and the School Staff we have made the decision to move our school assemblies to Friday morning (9:00am - 9:30am). This change will begin at the start of TERM 3. For the remainder of Term 2, assemblies will remain on Monday afternoon. We have made this decision to facilitate greater parent attendance at assemblies. Due to the busy working lives of all of our parents we feel Friday morning will enable more mums, dads and special friends to be available to share in our weekly celebration of school life. We will also continue with the Coffee/Hot Chocolate van before school on Friday mornings to further enhance the morning activities. I look forward to seeing you all at these sessions.
