Classroom News - Year 5

                  Welcome back all students 

A welcome back to all students on a full time basis in our Year 5 classes. Students have made a positive return and are reforming familiar friendships. This week we have recommenced learning full time in the classroom. During our day we are completing a block of English, Mathematics and having Religion lessons and are working on a new PBL in the afternoons.  In Literacy we are continuing our focus on VCOP and specifically, persuasive texts. In Mathematics we are learning about different multiplication strategies. In Religion we are studying Pentecost  and for our Project based Learning we are completing activities around Antarctica and The Australian Deserts.

We would like to thank all of our families for your wonderful support with children's learning throughout this unfamiliar period. We couldn't have had such success without your guidance and assistance with students learning from home.

                                     Technology

We have had some incidences of students accessing their computers at the wrong time or searching for inappropriate material. This has meant that these students have not been able to use technology this week - this affects both the students and their teachers. 

We would ask that you talk to your children about the privilege and the responsibilities that go with using technology and remind them of the ICT contracts they agreed to follow  earlier in the year.
