Classroom News - Year 4

Welcome Back! Everyone seems to be enjoying being 'back to normal'. Already, life seems very busy.

Firstly, we would really like to thank all parents for their support with on-line learning. The last few weeks have been a steep learning curve for us all and generally positive things have been the result.

We would like to reassure parents that we are encouraging children constantly to 'wash their hands' and have observed that children have developed good hygiene habits with this. We are encouraging 'social distance' with the children as well, to the best of our ability. We are listening carefully to health concerns from the children, and must follow the process of sending anyone who is complaining of feeling unwell, home. Although this may be problematic for some, it is a necessary step for us to take.

Our classroom learning has begun in a slightly different format to previous weeks. We are trying to 'pick up' where we left off in some areas and striving to create optimal learning opportunities across all subjects for all children. The children were involved in the Simultaneous Reading Day last week, either in the classroom or online (if working from home). This is a great opportunity to remind us of the importance of reading for everyone. We thank Mrs Gollan for her organisation of this event. The children also enjoyed Musica Viva, the online version, last Friday. Thank you to Ms McNeall for her support.

Once again, thank you for your continued support.
