BE INVOLVED, BE CONNECTED

National Health & Physical Education Day

This week we celebrated National Health & Physical Education (HPE) Day!

A nationwide initiative that highlights the importance of HPE and its influence on the learning and development of children. Whether you are a parent, caregiver, teacher or principal – we all have a role to play in helping young people take a step towards leading healthier and happier lives.

To celebrate HPE Day our students from prep to year 6 all came together via a live PE workout and also shared their message about how physical activity makes them feel.

My message is physical activity can help us in feeling a true connection with the people we are moving with. Even though we were all in our own spaces I truly felt the connection within our wonderful community.

I couldn’t be prouder of our students for being involved and giving something new a go. Thank you to the parents and caregivers who led by example and joined in. A further acknowledgment to you all for creating an environment at home that allows for physical activity to occur, I know this wouldn’t happen without your support.
