WORLD WAR I

Students in selected years in primary and secondary were privileged to see  Shane Blackman from 'World War I Living Histories' attend our school as part of our history program.  His World War exhibition is like a trip back in time, with a mix of fact, storytelling, uniforms and equipment.​ 

The exhibition focuses on personalising the experiences of those that served on the front line, rather than an account of Australian military history.​

No two talks are ever the same, as students are selected to choose artifacts from the display where Shane then discusses the item in a thoroughly engaging manner.  Students have the opportunity to hold authentic soldiers' equipment and even try on a replica uniform.
