Traineeship for Riley 

Congratulations to Riley Poulter (Year 10) for successfully securing a school based traineeship with Heritage Concrete.

 

Riley will combine the study of a Certificate II in Construction Pathways and on-the-job training with Heritage Concrete whilst completing his HSC.

 

Thank you Dick O’Halloran and the team at Heritage Concrete for supporting and providing Riley with this invaluable opportunity.

UAC (Universities Admissions Centre) provides important information on the ATAR, undergraduate degrees, diploma and postgraduate study, equity scholarships and EAS (Early Entry Schemes). Follow the UAC Facebook page for clear guidance about university entry requirements and procedures.

 

Students wishing to attend university next year are encouraged to watch the video below to understand the key changes to UAC's 2021 entry procedures.


Regional Youth Taskforce

Are you the voice of your generation? Would you like to have a real say in the things that matter to young people in regional NSW? 

 

If you are 12–24 years old you are eligible to apply for the Regional Youth Taskforce. This is a NSW Government initiative offering regional young people the opportunity to share their opinion on local issues, to represent their mates and peers, and to help make decisions that will drive change in their own community. It is an invaluable experience, great to add to your resume, and a wonderful opportunity to make a difference!

Scholarship to Cambridge Summer School

Win a full scholarship to the Cambridge Summer School! The Immerse Education Essay Competition offers students the opportunity to win a 100% scholarship for one of Immerse Education’s award-winning residential or online academic programmes. Last year there were 10 full scholarship winners and 300 shortlisted partial scholarship winners selected from over 4000 entries.

 

Students aged 13-18 are required to submit essay responses to a pre-set question relating to their chosen subject and age group; for example: medicine, computer science,  physics, engineering, creative writing, English

literature.  The competition is a great way to practice your academic writing skills and previous scholarship winners have referenced their success on their university application to the world’s top universities.

 

Deadlines for submissions is 5 January 2021.
